Start Early
It’s never too early to start your new fitness and nutrition regime. Once you have officially become engaged, sit down and design a program that meets your needs and targeted areas. If this means joining a gym or hiring a personal trainer then go ahead and take that first step.

Set Achievable Goals
By setting your goals early on you will have something to strive for and a way to measure your progress. However, don’t set goals that are so outrageous that even the Iron Man couldn’t achieve them. Whether you choose to make your goal a certain weight loss or even a certain number of miles ran a day, keep your goal attainable, and constantly measure your progress towards it.

Don’t Skip Meals
Many people find it tempting to start slashing meals from their day in order to cut calories. Instead take a different approach and either lightened up on your meals or start exercising as stated below. Often when people use “crash dieting” as a way to loose weight they find the effects once their diet ceases to be horrific.

Eat Healthy
While it’s easy to drive thru your local fast food chain and pick up a burger soaked in grease and fries smothered in salt, think twice and start choosing healthier meals. By switching to a healthy diet, you will not only start to shed those pounds, but feel healthier as well.

Exercise
Exercising is probably the most important aspect to achieving your desired fitness. You can cut back on calories, but you won’t without adding a fitness routine that burns those calories. Speak with a fitness specialist to determine what areas to target and how to do so effectively.
